The authors of this website are long time veterans of the mortgage industry. We’ve watched the reverse mortgage market grow and change, and we want to make sure that consumers are fully aware of what’s out there.

Why Reverse Mortgage Alert?
There is still not a lot of high-quality, well explained information on the Internet about reverse mortgage loans. As we point out in our page on reverse mortgage rates, the marketplace remains far more mysterious than that of conventional home loans, and this fact most certainly puts consumers at a disadvantage. We hope to be part of the solution to this problem. Although we prefer not to take a side on whether or not you should get a reverse mortgage – it might make sense for you, it might not – we strongly believe that you should make that decision with good information.
